The background and the Impact of the Brighter Future Child Protection (BFCP Project).
The Brighter Future Child Protection Project supports Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVCs) in rural and living under homes.
From its inception in 2022, the BFCP Project supported over 410 Orphans & Vulnerable Children in Mubaira, Rusape, Mutare and Harare.
Led by our respective Programs Coordinators, the BFCP Project Partners with other non-governmental organizations, faith-based organizations and civil society organizations the project takes the lead in creating safe environments for Orphans & Vulnerable Children in Zimbabwe.
Bringing hope to the Orphans & Vulnerable Children residing at Wings of Grace Orphanage in Dec 2024
In December 2024, Action for Youth Foundation Trust through this project in partnership with Kind-Hope Organization, managed to hand over school uniforms, sanitary pads, groceries, clothes, food hampers to support 79 Orphans and Vulnerable Children in Harare at Wings of Grace Orphanage. This was made possible by anonymous donors and sponsors who donated the packages supporting the BFCP Project.
Capacity Building for Community Child-care Workers (CCWs)
Through-out the year, Action for Youth Foudation Trust through the Brighter Future Child Protection Project, supported the mentorship of the community child care workers in Mhondoro Mubaira. This is a compliment to the government’s efforts in fighting against any forms of child abuse in rural and marginalized communities in Zimbabwe.
The Capacity Building equipped 15 Child Care Workers with effective Child Protection Knowledge for effective implementation in communties.
Providing Support to Orphans & Vulnerable Children with Disabilities in Mhondoro Mubaira in December 2023
Action for Youth Foundation Trust through the Brighter Future Child Protection Project provided funding and techical support during the event hosted by Angels Palace Organization in 2023.
The support managed to contribute to 59 OVC packages that includes clothes, school fees, sanitary pads, christmas hampers, baby milk and other christmas packages.
The program contributed towards living no one behind. Children with disabilities especially in rural areas need to be supported and they need to recieve same treatment like others.
Action for Youth Foundation Trust, has zero-tolerance to all forms of stigma and discrimination.
